The next generation Enzo (current Enzo pictured) is on track for release in 2012. With news the other day that the Lamborghini Urus is being lined up to take on the next generation Ferrari Enzo – the F70/FX70 – we’re now hearing that Ferrari’s plans to replace the Enzo are very much on track. It’s been a long time since the limited production Enzo – just 400 were produced – came to an end, and seven years since it was first announced.

2012 Lexus GS on track at Toyota's huge proving ground in Belgium We’ve managed to churn out a number of stories on the 2012 Lexus GS over the last few weeks as Lexus ramps up the interest in their new GS ahead of its debut at Pebble Beach in August. It all started with the Lexus LF-Gh concept at Geneva in the spring – the new GS in Concept guise –  since when our spy photographers have managed to grab shots of a disguised GS out ploughing round the Nurburgring and we’ve had a Lexus boss musing the likelihood of a Lexus GS Coupe – and an official announcement that the GS 350 will arrive at Pebble. Now we get one of the oxymorons of car PR in the internet age – the ‘Official’ Spy Video.

Tyre labelling not telling full story

THE NEW TYRE LABELLING scheme to tell drivers how environmentally efficient a tyre performs is not giving the full picture, according to Emissions Analytics. Tests show that at certain speeds, tyres with a lower efficiency rating can perform as well as those with a higher rating. This means drivers could be paying more for higher rated tyres when they would be as well off with a more affordable tyre.
