Here it is!

The highly anticipated 2nd generation

FJ Cruiser Pet and Cargo Barrier.

Please don't confuse this with all the "universal" pet barriers out there.

No longer will you have to struggle to get the barrier installed.

Gone are the zip-ties and the make shift rigging to keep that “universal” barrier upright!

We have built a STURDY and well-engineered barrier specifically for your FJCruiser. With this 2nd generation model....we decided to keep the positive attributes and pretty much toss the rest to the wayside.

What we kept...

1) The dimensions are the same.
2) The mounting system is the same....same easy installation.
3) The weight is roughly the same.
4) Structural integrity is the same (maybe improved)

What is new...

1) No more screen....replaced with panels with large portholes

2) New modular design

a) Can be shipped in a smaller package (good for international shipping)
b) Center panel can be removed for larger access hole or can be replaced with a clear panel for even better visibility.
c) Can be disassembled to store in less space.

3) It requires a bit more assembly....if you can use a socket set, you are good.

Our barrier uses the ceiling coat hook mounts and the headrest to provide a very sturdy mounting surface. So sturdy in fact that we had to design a quick-release system which allows one person to remove the entire unit in a matter of minutes by undoing 4 knurled knobs

It will serve to help contain loose items in the cargo area while going over rough terrain and can significantly increase your cargo capacity since items will no longer "flow" over the back seat. In addition to keeping your stuff in the cargo area, we have designed it to accept either an MPAC rack or quickfist mounts. This allows you to place anything from rifles and axes to smaller items in MOLLE pouches. Pet owners will appreciate its ability to keep the animals in back providing a safer environment for both the pet and the occupants.

The Fine Print

Also, the upper headrests are designed to push up on the headliner a bit to decrease any chance of rattling.

Reminder: While it may be tempting to hang heavy objects on the barrier or pile heavy objects behind the barrier.
Springtail has designed this product to help contain light cargo and pets. Please use the product responsibly

A letter from one of our customers

I just wanted to let you know that I installed my MPAC rack last night at about 11pm in the rain.

A few years ago my parents borrowed our old Honda Pilot to haul some furniture down to Florida. They were involved in a pretty bad accident. The car was totaled but it saved their lives.  I was amazed by how the items in the rear cargo area were thrown violently about the vehicle. Even the sturdy hardwood furniture was broken beyond repair. It made me realize how important it is to have a rear cargo barrier installed in case of an accident.

I was amazed by not only the quality of the construction but also the attention to detail of the part design.  The red quick-release knobs make it easy for anyone to instantly know how to remove the barrier, the gray painted side brackets that match the roof interior are a thoughtful detail and the mounting brackets that fit underneath the headrests are genius. I have two daughters and a German Shepherd, and I feel better knowing I've got such a strong barrier to help keep everyone safer. Thanks for making such an excellent product!

The Fine Print

The upper headrests are designed to push up on the headliner a bit to decrease any chance of rattling.
