We have a used MSD Ignition 8738 Soft Touch Rev Limiter with a 8400 RPM chip.  There are two ways to limit your rpms. The rough way simply cuts off ignition spark, which can cause backfiring, extreme engine roughness, and possible engine damage. The gentle way is with these MSD Soft Touch rev controllers. They use sophisticated computer circuitry to drop spark one cylinder at a time, until your engine is at or below its maximum rpm. Those cylinders are then fired on the next cycle, to prevent them from loading up with fuel. The result is smooth rev limiting action without all the rough stuff.
  • Keep in mind ebay now charges sellers a final value fee on every item for shipping. We now end up only getting around 70% of the item now. I think this is wrong that ebay does this. Ebay makes the rules, not sellers. We have tried to keep shipping costs low but ebay is making that impossible. We want to at least break even on the shipping. Here is a prime example of our bill:

WE ALMOST ALWAYS OFFER COMBINED SHIPPING ON MOST ALL OF OUR ITEMS TO SAVE EBAYER'S MONEY WHENEVER POSSIBLE. WE CANNOT COMBINE ON BIG ITEMS LIKE TIRES AND WHEELS AND ON SOME BULKY ITEMS. You might need this item for your race car, stock car, drag car, off road, IMCA Wissota UMP Nascar modified, late model street stock sportsman, hobby stock, bomber or any other car.
We will be gone every weekend and will not be able to answer questions until late on Sunday nights. NO RESERVE. Check our feedback and other auctions for more great deals.

Keep an eye on our auctions each week for more new and used items. Our inventory changes from week to week and we have many items in huge quantities as well that we re-list almost every week.

Alaska and Hawaii usually cost about double. International is even more yet. We will ship the most economical way to the Continental US and Parcel Post to Post Office Boxes. Some shipping services have raised prices to ship 15% and more are scheduled to go up also because of higher fuel prices, which continue to go up, increasing costs for us to buy the products and for buyers to get the products. The prices of packaging materials have gone up as well, boxing tape, packing peanuts and bubble wrap has also gone up considerably in the past year.

We always ship the first possible day after payment is sent and sometimes the very same day if the payment gets here before 3:30 pm CST.

We always provide buyers with UPS tracking numbers when we ship by Quantum View Notify.
To preserve our natural resources and to reduce waste we use ONLY sturdy, clean recycled boxes, packaging materials and or USPS Priority Mail Products for shipping. Please REUSE our shipping materials, if possible.

Predictably enough, the next turbocharged model - the facelifted 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia - is just round the corner. At the 2015 Geneva motor show, the Italian sports car maker is expected to launch the M458-T, otherwise known as the revised Ferrari 458 Italia.

Concours d'LeMons: Living a different kind of automotive lifestyle

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

The “winner” was perhaps the worst car I'd ever seen. The 1980 French KV Mini looked like something made in a backyard by a 10-year-old. This thing was not going to pass government standards in any country in the world.

Missed Shift? American Top Gear struggles to find its own identity

Tue, 30 Nov 2010

"What happened to Top Gear?" my favorite bartender asked this past weekend. "Somebody took the BBC's scripts and wrote Tanner, Rutledge and Adam over cues which previously said Jeremy, Richard and James," I replied. It's an easy sideswipe I admit, but for me--and I'm guessing for the automotive enthusiasts who constitute AutoWeek's audience--it largely tells the tale.
