MSD Ignition 85501 Locked Advance Pro-Billet Locked-Out Distributors Distributor, Chevy V8, Pro-Billet, Locked, Cap, Rotor MSD Pro-billet locked-out distributors are built from strong billet aluminum for engines that run locked-out timing or an MSD timing computer. With no advance assembly, the rotor plate is welded directly to the oversized shaft. A sealed ball bearing guides the top of the shaft, while an extra-long sintered bushing stabilizes the lower portion. This extra support ensures stable and accurate timing signals throughout your engine's entire rpm range. Trigger signals are produced via a high-output magnetic pickup. This pickup is extremely accurate and never requires adjustment. A precision-manufactured reluctor is responsible for triggering the pickup. Since this distributors are designed primarily for race engines, an oversized (+.006 in.) bronze gear is installed, along with an adjustable slip collar for modified blocks, heads, or intake manifolds. Mini celebrates 50 years since Monte win
Wed, 29 Jan 2014IT'S 50 years since the iconic Mini Cooper S won the Monte Carlo Rally and to mark the occasion the famous car and its driver have been brought back together. Paddy Hopkirk took the Mini to its maiden win on the Monte Carlo Rally, and the car went on to win again in 1965 and 1967. It should also have won in 1966, but it was denied due to a technical infringement with its lights.

General Motors has had its share of problems in the last few years, not least the bailout needed to save it from bankruptcy in the US. That US bailout has seen GM return to profit in the US, but GM Europe continues to be a big hole in its accounts as the European car market continues to struggle with over capacity and a lack of buyers for traditional mainstream cars.

It started well enough with an oddly named website – The Hexagon Project – showing a simple starter button which, when pressed, played the sound of the new Lambo’s V10 roaring - a good start.
