The Xcelerator premium High Flow air Induction from MTI for the 2006-20013 LS7 or 2008-2013 LS3 Chevrolet C6 Corvette. Rotationally molded of high quality ABS plastic, the unit has been developed to provide over a 36% increase in air flow versus the stock factory intake system and a dyno tested and verified 15-20 horsepower. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) was employed during the design of this intake system to ensure maximum air flow and smooth transitions around corners and contours. Additionally, numerous competitive air intake systems were reviewed and tested during the development of this intake to ensure that the finished product was the optimal design for the C6 Corvette.

The C6 high flow air induction system maintains the high quality look of the Corvette engine bay and includes all the components needed for installation of the kit including both upper and lower air intake pieces, a washable and reusable high flow air filter, premium grade fasteners. The system installs in about 1.5 hours and is a direct bolt on for any stock or modified 2006-2013 Corvette (6 speed manual or automatic) and works great with other aftermarket performance parts.

One Lap of the Web: A 1,000 hp hearse, behind the Jean Claude Van Damme Volvo shoot and a secret Argentinian racetrack

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

-- We've said it before, and we'll say it again: There's something a little bit different about "professional car" people. Not bad, mind you, just different -- it takes a special sort of person to rock a vintage ambulance or hearse. But a blown Caprice corpsewagon kicking out 1,000 hp?

Nissan tests self-cleaning paint

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

Well that took long enough. Nanotechnology is here, and Nissan is reportedly using it in the paint on its little Versa Note hatchback. We would have started on something a little more exciting, like the hard-to-care-for matte finish on the GT-R's rear spoiler, but that's just us.

Mercedes-Benz's 'invisible' car stunt [w/video]

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

Mercedes-Benz has crafted a clever publicity stunt in and around Hamburg as part of its campaign to promote its zero-emission B-Class F-Cell car. The Stuttgart-based carmaker showed off its redesigned hydrogen fuel cell technology by sending out what appears at first glance to be an invisible car, aimed to highlight the automaker's point that the car is 'invisible to the environment'. Mercedes-Benz recorded reactions from passersby to create a 90-second online viral featuring an explanation of how the effect was created using LED lights and cameras.
