MyFord Touch revealed at Consumer Electronics show

Ford is using the concept behind its Sync technology to dramatically re-do the appearance of its instrument panels and the manner in which drivers interact with their cars. Ford is revealing MyFord Touch at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and the technology launches on the 2011 Ford Edge followed by global availability on the 2012 Focus. MyLincoln Touch will be standard on new Lincolns, starting with 2011 MKX.

GM to pull Cadillac from some European markets

General Motors will halt Cadillac sales in more than half of the brand's European markets following the collapse of its regional distributor. The U.S. carmaker will focus on markets such as Russia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland where the luxury brand has been able to compete against Germany's BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi premium brands.

The coupe model, caught here exiting AMG’s engineering headquarters on the outskirts of Stuttgart in Germany yesterday in the first round of durability testing, will proceed a convertible version of the front-engined, rear-wheel drive sportscar due out in 2016, with an expected price tag of around $100,000 in the US.
