CDN hosted a new webinar entitled 'Defining the boundary between Technical and Concept Surfacing using Autodesk Alias' on October 13, 2011. The online seminar was especially relevant for design engineers (from aerospace and consumer product industries as well as automotive), for surface modelers, and for lead designers who need to understand the differences between concept surfacing and Class A surfacing. 2006 Interior Motives Design Awards

Now into its fourth year, the annual design awards ceremony hosted by Interior Motives magazine was held on the second press day of the 2006 Paris Motor Show. Open to any registered school, the competition encourages students to submit their work in any of nine different categories, with the emphasis on interior design. These categories are: Best Conceptual Interior Best Use of Technology Best Innovation Best Safety Innovation Best Lifestyle Interior Best Eco Design Concept Best Conceptual Exterior Best Production Interior Best Personalisation The prize for the 'Best Conceptual Interior' went to Iman Maghsoudi of Azad University, Iran.

SEMA 2008 show report: Mercedes GLK

By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 04 November 2008 10:30 Mercedes set an all but impossible challenge for tuners at this year’s SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas – to turn its gut-wrenchingly ugly GLK off-roader, which makes its formal American debut at the show, into something desirable and cool. The best four submissions – the Brabus Widestar, Urban Whip, Pikes Peak Rally Racer and Rock Crawler - were displayed at SEMA. And presumably scared a lot of showgoers senseless.
