This is a Nascar shortblock, we purchased this as a complete engine from a top Nascar team, I need the top end for a Dirt Late Model engine project so we are parting the rest of the engine out. 9.000 Nascar Compacted Grapite Block, these are a lightweight block Ford made for nascar, they cost $5000.00 unmachined Block has standard lifter bore location, most of the graphite blocks have staggered lifters, this take standard cam and lifter location, very rare for this style block. 905 Lifter bore size, has stud hole and is machined for Jesel dogbone lifters, or you can use standard drop in's Cam tunnel with 55 mm roller cam bearings, DLC coated thrust plate included. Aluminum wrist pin oilers block mounted Pankl 6.350 rods with EDM oil hole Mahle 4.180 bore pistons for D3 Head 1.015 compression height Bryant 3.260 Stroke Crank- has gundrilled mains and lightning holes 1.850 journal You can use D3 ford heads, or yates heads will bolt on no problem you could also use N351 heads with these pistons, or you can change pistons and use any heads. Motorbikes 'surprise' car drivers
Mon, 11 Nov 2013MOST CAR drivers are "caught by surprise" by the sudden appearance of motorbikes, according to a survey of more than 21,000 AA members. But as many as 40% of drivers reckon motorcyclists are inconsiderate, with London bikers appearing to be the least courteous. The AA/Populus survey showed that 57% of car drivers were often surprised when a motorcycle appeared from nowhere.

Sat, 11 Sep 2010The Audi S1 will have a Paris Launch (A1 Wörthersee Concept pictured) It’s getting on for a year since we reported that – despite some saying it wouldn’t happen – Audi were planning at least a warm version of the A1 and had on the drawing board the Audi S1 to take on the MINI Cooper. So it’s not a shock that we hear Audi are planning on bring the S1 along to Paris for a reveal before getting the S1 on the roads by the second quarter of 2011. Expect the usual Audi S bits in the mix - bigger wheels, fettled suspension, beefed-up brakes, body kit – and power in the S1 to come from the S/C turbo 1.4 TSI found in the VW Polo GTI, although the S1 may just get a tweaked version of the engine as befits its higher standing in the VW hierarchy with a bit more than the 178 horses the Polo GTI manages.
