This is the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid, and although it’s been unveiled on the same day as the world’s motoring media descends upon Detroit for the 2012 North American International Auto Show, it's not there. Instead, the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid won’t actually appear until the Geneva show in early March 2012. Presumably the Toyota Yaris Hybrid is even cleaner and greener than the pious Prius?

The Porsche Boxster has been completely redesigned as it enters its third generation since its introduction in 1996. As can be expected from the Stuttgart manufacturer, the design is progressive, evolving the familiar two-seater into a more distinctive proposition within the Porsche range. Despite plenty of cynicism in the car industry that Tesla could deliver their Model S saloon at all, never mind at a reasonable cost, Tesla has confounded its critics by not only launching the Model S, but seemingly taking as many orders as it can handle. On the face of it, that’s not surprising.
