BMW M1 Hommage concept (2008): first official pictures
Sun, 27 Apr 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 27 April 2008 12:47 The new BMW M1 Hommage was a surprise debutant at the Concorso d’Eleganza 2008 di Villa d’Este this weekend. No prizes for guessing what it is: this is an official concept car to mark the 30th anniversary of the original M1 supercar. The Hommage is a clever reinterpretation of the 1978 coupe, bristling with echoes of the original.
Top Gear in Italy with Aventador, McLaren MP4-12C & Noble M600 + video
Tue, 08 Nov 2011Top Gear in Lecce filming a supercar piece We already know that Top Gear’s Christmas Special is in India this year, so the video showing the Top Gear team filming in Lecce, Italy, with the Lamborghini Aventador, McLaren MP4-12C and Noble M600 must be for the new series of Top Gear, which kicks off on January 12th 2012. Lecce is an historic Italian city in the south east of Italy, full of Baroque architecture, tracing its history back to the Greeks and is probably most famous for its ‘Lecce Stone’, a soft and malleable limestone ideal for sculpting. None of which really matters to Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May, although it does provide a stunning backdrop for an equally stunning set of supercars.
Ford Ka (2015) first official pictures
Wed, 20 Nov 2013By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 20 November 2013 16:00 This is the new Ford Ka, which Ford has slapped with a last-minute ‘concept’ tag. The reason it looks like the finished product is because underneath, the Ka shares components with the Brazilian market Figo, of which Ford has sold 100,000 in 2011. With production-ready giveaways bits like wipers and mirrors present and correct, it’s difficult to see anything changing before the new Ka goes on sale.
