Shipping: Free within the continental U.S. All orders outside the U.S. will be charged an additional fee.

Please understand that shipping to areas like Puerto Rico, Hawaii and other areas outside the continent of the United States will be charged for shipping so please ask before buying what the shipping would be.

Compressor Warranty: Yes 1 year.  Compressor warranty is void unless the drier/accumulator, orifice tube and/or expansion valve is replaced upon installation and system is flushed using generally accepted methods. The proper lubricant must be used. Units returned without lubricant and not properly capped will be disallowed.

Additional AC Compressor Info:

Your AC Compressor is like the heart of your AC system. The AC Compressor is a pump that is used to circulate refrigerant in the system. We get a lot of questions about AC Compressors that we will answer below, related to AC Compressor failure.

1.       Will the AC Compressor give any signs before failure? Most of the time the AC Compressor will make different noises when it engages, it varies with the vehicle but it is most noticeable when the AC is turned on, and the clutch engages the compressor.

2.       What causes the AC Compressor to go bad? The AC Compressor is in simple terms a pump, it has moving parts on the inside that will eventually after long use wear out and need replaced. Lack of lubrication has been the leading cause of failure in most cases. The AC Compressor must have oil in the system. If a leak in the system develops oil is lost and there is not enough oil to sufficiently lubricate the ac compressor.

3.       What other things should I consider when I change the AC Compressor? Other things to take into consideration are the expansion valve/orifice tube and the accumulator drier, they could become clogged with contaminants and/or plugged and need replaced.

4.       Does the ac system need flushed? Yes the AC system should be flushed thoroughly and sometimes the condenser may need to be replaced to be positive any and all contaminants are out of the system and the ac compressor can properly do its job.

5.       Are there any other parts I should replace? It is highly recommended to change the following parts along with the AC Compressor:

a.       Orifice tube

b.      Accumulator/Reciever driers

c.       Expansion valve

Goodwood Revival Sold Out – but there’s a few ‘Turn up & Hope’ tickets left for tomorrow

Goodwood Revival 2011 Sold Out We always say the Goodwood Festival of Speed is just about the best event of the year; diverse, interesting and fun – even for the non-petrolhead. But the Goodwood Revival – which starts tomorrow and goes on over the weekend – is a really fun motoring nostalgia-fest of fun and frolics, costumes and stalls, cars and racing. And on-petrolheads love it even more than the FoS.

Top Gear to do ‘Economy’

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

Don’t think for a minute that we’re going to lose the supercar stunts we know and love, and see them replaced by the charms of a Kia Cee’d economy run, but Top Gear, in common with the rest of the Beeb, is having its budget cut – apparently. Andy Wilman, who is the brains behind TG (and its producer) together with Jeremy Clarkson, has been bemoaning the budget cuts planned for the show on the TG website. He said: ‘No point in moaning about that.

Caterham AeroSeven Concept previews new Caterham in 2014

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

The Caterham AeroSeven Concept (pictured) previews a new Caterham in 2014 It’s a new Caterham, but a new Caterham that signals not only a new model for 2014, but a new design direction as Caterham moves towards the fruits of their alliance with Renault on the Alpine project. The Caterham AeroSeven isn’t a look at Caterham’s version of the Renault Alpine project, but a new track-inspired road car designed in a collaboration between Caterham Technology and Innovation, Caterham F1 and Caterham Cars. The new Aero Seven’s underpinnings come from a revised version of the Seven CSR’s chassis with pushrod suspension at the front and full IRS with new dampers and springs.
