Thu, 03 Jul 2014

By James Fallon First Official Pictures 03 July 2014 12:54 Volkswagen has announced a new Golf Match special edition, refreshing the popular hatchback by offering a better specification for no extra cost. Historically, the Golf Match has proved one of the best-selling Golf trims in the UK. Even though the Germans aren’t renowned for the generosity of their specifications, VW has thrown extra kit at the new 2014 Golf Match.

Volvo Estate Concept (2014) first official pictures

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 27 February 2014 11:00 This is the Volvo Concept Estate, which will be shown at the 2014 Geneva motor show. It’s a true three-door shooting brake wagon: Volvo claims it points strongly toward the future design of its V70 and XC70 estate models. Rather than going down the swooping roofline/thick pillars route for his shooting brake design, Volvo’s new design boss Thomas Ingenlath was inspired by the P1800 ES of the 1970s.

Power hike for Porsche Boxster

Thu, 19 Oct 2006

By Phil McNamara Motor Industry 19 October 2006 02:37 Porsche has upgraded its two Boxster models, by transplanting the Cayman coupe's punchier flat six engines. The base Cayman cabriolet – sorry, Boxster – now gets a smidgen more power and torque from its 2.7-litre unit, with outputs climbing to 245bhp and 201lb ft. The tweaks shave a tenth off the 0-62mph sprint, reducing it to 6.1sec, and improve fuel economy by 1mpg to 30.4.
