We had this tank made for a Datsun 510 project and then ended up using a fuel injected engine so this really nice piece has just been sitting collecting dust. It is brand new and measures 24 inches by 22 inches by 7 inches and has a small sump and fuel level sending unit as well as fitting for fuel and aircraft type filler cap and it is made out of aluminum and it cost us around $400 if I recall correctly. Disabled motorsport marshal sets new mobility scooter record
Tue, 20 May 2014A DISABLED motorsport marshal who lost a leg in a terrible accident at the 2000 Goodwood Festival of Speed has set a new world record – on a mobility scooter with punctured tyres. Steve Tarrant, who made a determined recovery and continues to marshal at national and international levels, returned to a dedicated course at Goodwood for the gruelling record attempt in aid of a cancer charity. His effort, after 24 hours and stops only for battery changes on his TGA Breeze S4 GT mobility scooter, he smashed the previous record of 170.63 miles by almost 20, clocking up 190.2 miles.
Mercedes S-Class production increased to meet demand
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Mercedes S-Class production increased We’ve reported recently on the strong sales Mercedes is enjoying with the new A-Class (and its swoopy-coupe sibling CLA), but it’s not just Mercedes compact cars that are flying out of showrooms. Mercedes has revealed it’s having to increase production at its plant in Sindelfingen by prolonging shifts by 74 minutes (after increasing them by 30 minutes earlier this year) in order to churn out enough S-Class cars to meet strong demand. But it’s not just the S-Class (as well as the A-Class cars) that are selling strongly, Mercedes are also upping production at Bremen to build more GLK and C-Class models.

The BMW i8 has been floating around for nearly three years as BMW’s nod to an eco future for supercars. Starting with the Vision EfficientDynamics concept we saw back in 2009, BMW went on to reveal their ‘i’ Brand and reveal the BMW i8 last summer. With the i8 not likely to hit showrooms until late 2013 or early 2014, BMW are out doing what car makers do and testing their new cars in extreme weather, this time it’s cold weather testing and footage of the i8 frolicking with the snow ploughs.
