I do not know the history of these tires but they appear to have never hit the track as the center molding line can still be seen. Please look at the wear dots on the tread in the photo. The DBS is showing some cracking around the outside edge, please look at the photos as I do have it pictured. Please ask ANY questions before bidding. Good luck and happy bidding!

Whos Where: Pierre Castinel is Head of Design at Tata

Wed, 02 Apr 2008

Indian automaker Tata has been front page news often in recent times, first because of the impressive one-lakh Nano, which changes the automotive industry playing field, and most recently because of its acquisition of Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford's Premiere Automotive Group for the tidy sum of $2.3 billion - less than half what Ford paid for both companies in 1989.  At the helm of Tata's design efforts is Pierre Castinel, Head of Design. Though only officially announced in March this year, Castinel has been active at Tata since he left Renault in summer 2007, a company he worked at for 20 years. Castinel started as a modeler for Peugeot and worked there for three years.

AutoWeek Design Forum: McLaren evolves with carbon fiber

Thu, 13 Jan 2011

McLaren Automotive design boss Frank Stephenson detailed his company's transformation from strictly racing to producing road-going models on Thursday at the AutoWeek Design Forum. McLaren is launching the highly anticipated MP4-12C this year, and the company has been hard at work refining the use of carbon fiber, which it pioneered in the iconic McLaren F1. The company cut the amount of time required to design a carbon-fiber tub from 3,000 hours for the F1 to a mere four hours for the MP4-12C.

What we drive: 1994 Mazda RX-7 R2

Either way, it was 1993 when my captivation with the third-generation Mazda RX-7 caught fire. I was 10 years old.
