Chrysler's V8 coupe moves closer to production

By Nick Trott Motor Industry 21 August 2006 00:02 Chrysler's V8 Firepower concept is moving closer to production, thanks to a plan to push the Dodge Viper upmarket, creating a Firepower-shaped gap in Chrysler Group's portfolio. Sources suggest that the 2008 Viper will have a new chassis and an engine co-developed by McLaren, DaimlerChrysler's F1 partner. A precedent for this has already been set.

VW debuts Twin Up! Concept at Tokyo Motor Show

Volkswagen introduced the newest member of the XL1 family at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Twin Up! Essentially the plug-in hybrid version of the Up!, this four-seater concept car shares some of its drive system with the Volkswagen XL1 including its dual-clutch automatic transmission, diesel engine and electric motor. The 2015 Nissan Murano (pictured) debuts in New York The new Nissan Murano was teased a few weeks ago by Nissan and now, ahead of its public debut at the New York Auto Show, Nissan has revealed the new Murano properly. With a striking similarity to the Nissan Resonance SUV concept we saw in Detroit in 2013, the new Murano get boomerang headlights and a floating roof, a big chrome grill, rounded wheel arches and a rising waistline that makes it look more purposeful. Inside, the new Murano is more appealing and upmarket with a lower instrument panel with 7″ Drive Assist Display, fewer buttons, Climate, heated steering wheel, electric folding back seats and a lounge feel.
