Made from STS-12 rope which uses the latest Dyneema fiber the Cyclone provides extremely high tensile strength and ultra low elongation. The Cyclone pendant configuration provides abrasion resistance at the chock and low stretch in the standing part of the rope. By eliminating friction at the chock it reduces heat generated failures while stretch in the standing part of the rope provides shock absorption to protect your hardware. The rope is coated with a proprietary tinted vinyl-based formula to enhance durability improve fiber-to-fiber abrasion and protect it from harmful UV rays. Audi develops new A2; plans for U.S. unclear
Mon, 08 Mar 2010Audi is developing a reincarnation of the A2 small car that will slot between the A3 and the A1 minicar introduced in Geneva last week. "There's clearly room for another product and another concept between the A3 and A1," Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said on the sidelines of the Geneva auto show. Michael Dick, Audi's board member for technology, said in an interview that the company's push to add electric variants will play a role with the next-generation A2 "in the near future." The German media have reported that the A2 is expected by 2014.
Pforzheim University Winter Degree Show 2009
Thu, 12 Mar 2009Transportation Design students at Germany's Pforzheim University displayed their work in the school's summer degree show last month, one of two graduation shows held every year by the renowned college. The exhibition included work from graduating Diploma and Masters students, first- and second-semester Masters students, as well as exterior and interior projects by the fifth- and seventh-semester BA students. The newly introduced Bachelor course covers the Transportation Design program in seven semesters (replacing the eight-semester Diploma course) with students embarking on specialized transportation projects in their second semester.
Scions at SEMA
Thu, 31 Oct 2013On Tuesday, Scion unveiled the cars it will show on its stand at SEMA and, while we appreciate the efforts of the tC tuners in the Scion Tuner Challenge, we gotta admit the FR-S entries and another stretch limo xB really caught our editorial eye. Coolest car of the night was a tie between the Ken Gushi GReddy FR-S and the Bulletproof Automotive FR-S. We couldn't decide which we liked better.
