I think it is great. I also most likely need another one for one of the cars I am going now. Thank you for the great work you all do.

Almost unusableSpifz from
I purchased the 1" shaft version of this product. The ball is extremely thin, and the fit between the ball and race has no preload (actually, it is worse, it has a noticeable play of about .010.) Possibly because of how thin the ball is near the edges (there is no flat surface like that pictured, but the picture may be of a .750 ID unit) and was deformed or crimped over, it was impossible to slide the bearing over a shaft that measured .995. It took significant deburring of the edges of the ball on the ID before the shaft would fit. I'll likely purchase a bearing unit that has two mounting plates that clamp together to fix the ball angle when tightened, and that has a shaft collar built in to ensure a good fit of the shaft like the other steering bearing I have.
Pros can be used if you do some work to it, Low Cost
No, I do not recommend this product.

Car dealers are buying again

Wed, 21 Jan 2009

Used car sales in the UK (and just about everywhere else, for that matter) have been in the doldrums, to say the least, for many months. The inexorable decline in car values has left many dealers nursing painful losses on stock cars, and has led to the strange situation where, however desperate a dealer was to sell you a new car, he wouldn’t (or couldn’t) offer you a part-ex price. Car dealers are buying stock again But according to the used car value Gurus at Glasses Guide, things are starting to look up – a little.

Mini may drop Paceman, Coupe, and Roadster

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Mini may discontinue the Paceman, Coupe, and Roadster models as it seeks to trim its lineup, following the introduction of the third-generation Mini Cooper three-door Hardtop. Instead, the company plans to focus on three "pillar" models: the Hardtop, the Countryman, and the Clubman. The third model, the Clubman, is technically still speculative as the company presented a Clubman only in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but given the amount of real-world testing of Clubman prototypes observed, coupled with the production-ready appearance of the Clubman Concept, this model is virtually assured to reach production in its current form.

Avoiding the California Highway Patrol on the Autoweek America Adventure

Sun, 30 Oct 2011

"Damn revenuers," said Tommy Kendall. "They are draped all along the side of the road." He spoke, of course, about the California Highway Patrol, whose strategically positioned cars--and subsequent laser-detection devices and KA-band radar--were lighting up this two-lane south of Klamath Falls, Ore., less than two miles inside the state line. It's a fact of economics, especially in California, a state that's running out of money faster than Greece.
