All new modern microprocessor controlled replacements for the failing 25-30 year old OEM spark modules in 1980's Honda V4's.  Why spend money on questionable used units?

** This auction is for ONE module.  These bikes have 2, and you need to order Qty 2 to replace both in the set. **

** OEM module in picture not included - just shown for size comparison **

This is for models that used two spark modules.  There are reports that some Sabres used only one module, but I have yet to see any, and wiring diagrams and parts micro-fiche only show with two modules.  However, if true, this would *not* work for those.  Note the Sabre automatic turn signal canceller unit is often mistaken, and there is usually incorrect listings for it on here.  It is OKI electronic, part # starting with MPS-3512, has a brown connector with 9 wires.

Review on v4muslebike forums with video - this is on a V65, same module just different program settings

This can be used in place of either the small or big box - the only difference is the big box has the rev-limiter.  The rev-limiter can be set to enabled or disabled.  You can change this any time with a windows PC and USB.  If you have a preference, let me know when you order.  Else if you order just one, I will set it to disabled. If you order a pair, I will set one enabled and one disabled.

This is just slightly smaller than the OEM small box (as shown in the pic) so will fit without having to modify the original holder.  Just add some padding like 1/4" weather stripping or velcro strap to hold it in place..

Scion FR-S stars in cautionary tale for those considering marriage

Tue, 13 Nov 2012

The Scion FR-S—or Toyota GT86 as it's known in Europe—is the answer to many a gearhead's prayers. The streetable, trackable wondercar is reasonably cheap to buy and should be pretty economical to own over the long haul. Driving it is pure magic and it's even a bit of a looker, especially in Subaru BRZ guise.

Electric cars must get noisier, ICE cars must get quieter

Sun, 06 Apr 2014

Electric cars will have to make a noise to protect pedestrians It’s four years since the Lotus solution for making electric cars noisy raised its head, since when the US has had a go at theĀ Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act in 2010 to do the same thing, the Japanese are playing too, and Toyota revealed the Prius Vehicle Notification System, and now the EU has decided its time to act to make EVs emit ‘noise’. Despite the most appealing part of an EV being that it makes our cities quieter, legislators worry about the blind, partially sighted and distracted pedestrian (think earphones and a Smartphone) being mowed down by a stalking electric car and feel the need to act. So the European Parliament has decided that by 2019 new models of electric vehicle will have to make a noise in cities, and that by 2021 all new hybrids and electrics must be noisy too.
