The new soft-top is bigger yet lighter than the old convertible A3, and has morphed into a more resolved silhouette courtesy of its booted rear instead of the old version’s chopped hatch profile. Plus, for the first time ever, an S3 Cabriolet is set to join the range, offering a 155mph breeze in your hair, and 0-62mph in around 5.0sec.

Peugeot 508 SW 'Allroad' We’re only just starting to see the Peugeot 508 – the replacement for both the 407 and 607 – hitting roads in Europe, but already we’re starting to see evidence that Peugeot aren’t going to be settling for just the Saloon and the Estate. It looks like Peugeot are intending having a crack at Audi and their Allroad A6 if the spy photo we grabbed is anything to go by. Regular readers will already have seen all the tweaks and additions to the Jaguar XF, Jaguar XJ and Jaguar XK for 2012 here over the last few months, but there’ll be the chance to see the updates in the flesh from this weekend at Motorexpo at Canary Wharf. The 2012 Jaguar XF – which debuted at New York in April – gets to look more like the concept on which it was based, the Jaguar C-XF Concept, which is a sure sign of the growing confidence at Jaguar.
