When replacing your factory radio with an after-market car stereo, a dash kit is a must for a quick and professional looking installation. It will securely mount your new stereo in the dash and will result in a professional gapless finish between your radio and the dash. When replacing your factory radio with an after-market car stereo, a wire harness is a must for a quick installation. It eliminates cutting your OE radio plug helping to maintain your cars value. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will color-match and easily connect to the after-market stereo. Without a wiring harness you will have to cut the factory harness and then test each wire to connect to your radio. In addition, because you do not have to cut your OE radio plug off, using an wiring harness allows you to reinstall your factory receiver at a later time. A great example is if you sold your car, but wanted to keep your after-market radio and re-install your factory stereo receiver. We have put this kit together with all of the parts needed for your installation. If you are doing the installation yourself the only thing you will need are common tools to take your dash apart and a good pair of crimpers to crimp the wire harnesses together with the included crimp caps. We do recommend that on some cars if you are installing this yourself that you use a set of dash removal tools that are made to remove your dash without scratching or damaging it.

- Because the factory wiring harness does not have a switched 12V power wire (EIA Color: Red) You will need to run a wire from the fuse box inside your car and connect directly to the aftermarket radio. This wire will be included with a fuse tap to make installation as easy as possible, we also sell a interface that can create this from the factory wiring though. Contact us for more details and a discounted package with that - The harness in this kit will not work if the vehicle is equipped with a premium factory sound system. The factory radio, doors, or speakers will be branded as such (ie. Boston Acoustics, Infinity, Alpine, etc.) - This dash kit will not fit vehicles if equipped with factory navigation |
