Transom Repair Kit. (1983-1990) Manufactured by Sierra Marine
to repair transoms that have corroded away around the u-joint
bellows attaching lip. Much more economical than replacing the
transom, especially on older boats that might otherwise be scrapped.
The Sierra part number is 18-8311. Comes with everything you
need and detailed instructions to install. On a difficulty scale of
one to ten, this job is about a six.

In the first prototype, it is a 132 kW / 180 PS strong Clean Diesel (TDI) with common rail injection and downstream NOx storage catalytic converter.
