Mercedes E63 AMG (2011) gets twin-turbo V8

Mercedes has updated the E63 AMG super saloon with a range of minor tweaks, and one major one. Say goodbye to the 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine which heralded the '63' badging, and hello to another downsized, forced-induction response to tightening emissions and economy requirements. The 2011 E63 receives the twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 engine first seen in the S63 AMG, and now powering the CL63 and CLS63 as well. So the Mercedes E63 AMG is actually an E55 AMG?

Jaguar XFR – the Cat’s out of the bag

The XFR is Jaguar’s answer to the barn-storming saloons from Mercedes, BMW and Audi, and if looks and spec (and the experience of driving the non-blown XF) are anything to go by, the new big Cat should get the cream. Meet the 2015 BMW M4 convertible, the final entry in BMW's revamped M3 and M4 high-performance lineup. The new drop-top will join the M3 sedan and M4 coupe later this month at the New York auto show and is expected to go on sale this summer. The new M4 convertible takes the place of last generation's M3 convertible, and will use the same powerplant as both the new M3 and M4: BMW's TwinPower 3.0-liter inline six will deliver 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, redlining at 7,600 rpm.
