What I have up for bids here is a good used and completely original Rotax/Bing 54 dual carburetor set-up with carbs, carb boots and air cleaners, just pulled from a 582 Rotax Model 99 UL/aircraft that we are parting out. This carburetor set-up would be perfect for the guy who is looking to covert his 447, 503 462, 467, 532 or 582 to dual carbs for that added horsepower or maybe for the guy who just needs to replace his carburetors/boots/filters.. Now as noted above this carburetor set-up was just pulled from a 582 UL/Aircraft series engine but this dual carburetor set-up will fit on many of the Rotax liquid cooled and fan cooled engines including the 377, 447, 503, 582 and more., Depending on your model your may or may not use the supplied carburetor mounting boots. Carburetors would also work great on other mfg engines including Hirth, Cuyuna, Suzuki, Yamaha and more.

Lewis Hamilton takes pole at British Grand Prix – Mercedes front row

Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg (pictured) celebrate their front row at the British Grand Prix Mercedes may have turned in some stunning qualifying laps this year (although their race performance hasn’t really matched up) but Hamilton’s pole at the 2013 British Grand Prix was a stunner – almost half a second (0.452s) ahead of team mate Nico Rosberg. The pole for Hamilton – his first since the Chinese Grand Prix – was a corker (as was Rosberg’s, to be fair) and left the Red Bulls relegated to the second row with Vettel in third and the newly ‘retired’ Mark Webber in fourth. But whether the stunning lap by Hamilton presages an impossible task for Red Bull tomorrow, we’ll have to wait and see.

AC Schnitzer turns BMW 4 Series into German police car

Crime can’t crack itself – which is why the German tuner AC Schnitzer has equipped the German police with this, a specially modified BMW 428i coupe. Making its debut at the 2013 Essen Motor Show in Germany, the tuned bee-em gets some rather interesting modifications. Its sister company Volkswagen also needed a sports coupe to replace the Karmann Ghia and so the two brands joined together to develop what would become the Porsche 914. These days the 914 holds something of a ‘cool factor', generally considered as the ‘black sheep' in Porsche history.
