Renault Pitches Affordable Self-Driving Technology

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

RENAULT is the latest company to dip its toe into the waters of self-driving car technology. Pitching its contribution as a way of combating tiredness and stress plus allowing drivers to multitask and let the car take the strain, the French firm is looking to 2020 as the year when its bold vision could become a reality. Developed by a French company called Induct, the Navia is ringed with laser beams (not frickin' laser beams. Ed.) that help it navigate through city streets or college campuses without the aid of a track in the ground, a rail or even GPS (GPS is not accurate enough, Induct says).

Mitsubishi confirms mad FQ-400

Tue, 02 Dec 2008

You’ve got to admire the Japanese. Here we are, deep in the doom and gloom of car sales in free-fall, and Mitsubishi pops its head above the parapet to announce the 2009 version of the mad-as-a-hatter Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400! Anyone who saw, or drove, the Evo 9 FQ-400 will know what an absolutely mental car this is.
