Non-bowtie Ext Mirror W/ribbed Base 63-72 Nova Camaro Firebird Chevelle Impala on 2040-parts.com
Huntington Beach, California, United States
Cleaning out my parts! This is a clean, presentable mirror that I ran on my car until I found out it was not the correct part. It does have the ribbed parting line on the base. It has some "closed" pitting on the cast base and some surface wear on the mirrors backside but you have to look close to notice. Adjustment is tight as it should be. This would do well on a daily driver but not necessarily on a contestable show car. This fits many GM vehicles so I leave it up to you to do your homework. Ask questions prior to purchase as I have a no return policy. It is listed as fitting:66-68 Chevelle; 67-69 Camaro; 63-67 Nova(no Bowtie); 66-72 Nova w/Bowtie; 68 Impala; and 66-69 Firebird(and probably fits other GM vehicles). Keep in mind that this IS A NO BOWTIE mirror which is more stock, harder to find and more expensive when you do. This also fits all left side doors mentioned and some right side doors. Mounting hardware included. Thanks for looking.

The Future Role of the Vehicle Designer
Fri, 14 May 2010The vehicle design department at the Royal College of Art hosted the second in a series of five lectures looking at the future of the profession last week. Moving on from the previous week's topic of sustainability, this debate explored the future roles and responsibilities of the vehicle designer. Head of department Dale Harrow began by posing the question "Is it time to rethink – do we still need the car?" Although still relevant, Harrow's ultimate answer to this was that the profession was about to see marked change, with the end to an era where "designers are locked behind closed doors in studios".
Rare Ferraris head to Pebble Beach Show
Tue, 07 Jul 2009Two collections of eye-catching and rare Ferraris will be reunited in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Monterey event will play host to 10 1949 166 MM Touring Barchettas and the only four TR 59 race cars believed to be in existence. The significance of the 166 MM Touring Barchetta--like that of many Ferraris--is twofold.
