Up for Buy-It-Now is a new old replacement stock idler arm and bracket assembly, TRW part number 18652. This item was obtained from an old service garage and is not a newly remanufactured part. According to my TRW Manual, this is used on the following models and years:
1965 Oldsmobile...All except F85 1966, 1967. 1968 Oldsmobile..All except F85 & Toronado The assembly is in brand new, never used condition and is free of any damage. The bracket still has a coating of grease on it from the manufacturer. The idler arm does have a spot or two of very minor surface rust form many years of shelf storage. May or may not need a light polishing up before installation. The rubber boot is soft and flexible. The original TRW box is in fair condition. Please feel free to E-mail me questions. BMW has released a teaser video for a new M model X6, which we’re assuming is the X6 with the new three stage turbo diesel – perhaps the BMW X6 M50d? We’ve recently had confirmation that BMW are going to create a diesel version of the M5 – the M550d – and we expected BMW to use the same engine to create diesel M versions for the X5 and X6.
Bentley W12 (and Audi and VW) engine production centres on Crewe
Fri, 21 Mar 2014The VW Group W12 engine will now only be made by Bentley in Crewe It’s probably not something you’ve paused to think about much, but if you did you’d assume that the Bentley W12 engine – fitted to the Flying Spur and Continental GT as well as the Audi A8 and VW Phaeton – was made only in Crewe. But you’d be wrong. In fact, the W12 for Bentleys are made in Crewe but those used in the Audi A8 and VW Phaeton are actually built by VW at their engine plant in Salzgitter.
