Condition:New other (see details) Part Brand:GM - General Motors; AC Spark Plug Division Other Part Number:Sender Sending Transducer Gauge Guage Gage Unit

1965 Pontiac GTO, LeMans, & Tempest NOS 60 Pound Engine Oil Pressure Transducer (Sending Unit). This is for cars with the optional rally gauges (not warning lights).

This can also be used in place of the original part number unit for the following cars with optional rally gauges (not warning lights):

1966 Pontiac GTO, LeMans, & Tempest With All Engines;

1967 Pontiac GTO With Early 60 Pound Gauge;

1967 Pontiac LeMans & Tempest With V-8 Engines With Early 60 Pound Gauge;

1967-69 Pontiac Firebird, LeMans, & Tempest With 6-Cylinder Engines;

1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass & F85 With 330 Engines.

This unit is the same as the 1966-69 unit listed for the above applications except for the addition of a 90 degree terminal added (held on the stud with a nut). If a terminal is needed, they are available as a reproduction item. 1965s did not need a 90 degree terminal as the oil wire of the rally gauge jumper harness was connected to the sending unit via a ring terminal that is held on the stud with a nut.

This 60 pound (~0-90 ohm) unit will operate the 60 pound in-dash gauge properly for the above applications.

This unit is NOT for the 1964-66 Full-size Pontiacs as the units for those had a ~0-30 ohm range.

Please note this is a later produced sending unit with the 1969-up style case. AC discontinued making the original "domed" style cases after the new style 1969 cases came into production for all the 1968 and older units.

C'est si bon: Mullin Automotive Museum celebrates the best of the Art Deco era

Tue, 30 Mar 2010

The French supposedly have a word for everything, but we couldn't muster any in English let alone the remnants of high school language lab upon first entering the new Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, Calif., just west of Los Angeles. All we could do was grin giddily at the sparkling array of Bugattis, Voisins, Delages, Delahayes and other unique examples of French automotive masterpieces from the 1920s and 1930s in an exhibition hall evocative of the salon that housed the 1936 Paris motor show and similar exposition halls of the Art Deco era. The collection is an immersion into the excitement and optimism of Art Deco design, especially in terms of automotive design.
