This is a new old stock (NOS) original Ford gas cap assembly correct for the following models:

  • 1966 1967 1968 1969 Ford W1000 and WT1000 Diesel Truck models (used with 50 or 60 gallon cylindrical tanks with 4" diameter filler pipe)
  • 1970 1971 1972 Ford W and WT 900 through 1000 Diesel Truck models (used with 50 or 60 gallon cylindrical tanks with 4" diameter filler pipe)
  • 1973 Ford W900 and WT900 Truck models before serial number Q60,001 (used with 50 or 60 gallon cylindrical tanks with 4" diameter filler pipe)

In Fall 2010, before the Volt went on sale in North America, we sampled an early build model and came away so impressed, we declared it the car for the digital age. Since then the car has received harsh criticism from the press and been outsold by the Nissan Leaf in the North American market. Given the unique powertrain, we felt longer exposure to the Volt was therefore in order, so on a recent trip to Michigan, we lived with one for five days.
