CASTING CODES: CONV4, GM, J 18 8, 836010-3. This shows to be a NOS 1935-36 216 ci engine replacement short block built for the Canadian market. (see reference in photos) However, from what I can see, it ought to fit any passenger or 1/2 ton truck. My brother bought out a GM dealership back in the 80s and this is part of the new old stock in his estate. I probably have the oil pan and valve cover too, but will have to look. If you think you can find a hint of the next-gen C1 in here then good luck with that. After all, this car has no doors, no roof, an inflatable hood and a retractable rear bench which is literally that, ie, a bench.

Future products: Ownership change may revive 2 small Porsches
Wed, 22 Sep 2010Now that it's owned by Volkswagen, Porsche reportedly is planning two small vehicles that the German sports car maker's previous management had nixed. Porsche is expected to increase the size of its Boxster roadster, leaving room at the bottom of the range for a smaller midengine car engineered jointly with Volkswagen. A small SUV also is likely to be added.
