This is a Factory NEW, Old Stock  Fuel Pump which is cataloged for a 1964 Mercury Comet 200 six cylinder and 1963 - 65 Ford Fairlane 170 and 200 six cylinder engine.  40003 is the AC/Delco part number for this pump. This pump has the fuel filter attached to the bottom of the pump.  This is a file photo and some of the filter housings may be painted and some are unpainted.  If you are operating a vehicle of this vintage how can you pass up having a spare. It isn't a matter of "if" the pump will fail, it simply is "When".

In one of the biggest private equity deals seen in the automotive industry, Cerberus Capital Management has purchased 80.1% of Chrysler in a £3.76billion deal, leaving DaimlerChrysler with the remaining 19.9% stake in the loss-making company. The move marks the close of arguably the most high-profile transatlantic merger and shuts the door on Canadian car assembly giant Magna and billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who last month offered £2.27billion for Chrysler.
