When I first tested the clock for sale, it wouldn't run at all.  One of the tech's here at D&M Restoration told me how to take it apart, and what was likely causing the movement to fail.  Sure enough, just as he said, there was a gear inside that had deteriorated over the years while sitting in storage.  There was some rust also on the bolts and even on the stem.  The clock has been repaired (just changed that one small rubber gear), cleaned, reconditioned, and tested, and is now as good (if not better) than new.  And although we are not in the practice of offering a warranty on our ebay items, this one we will cover for the period of 30 days from date of sale.  But, as always, if there is a problem, give us a call and let us know how we can make this work.

Students from art, communication, industrial and transportation design departments at Germany's Braunschweig University of Art have presented their work in the annual exhibition entitled 'Rundgang'. This year's Transportation Design degree show was divided into two parts. First was the diploma presentation by graduating students Chen Zhong, Falk Bruns, Malte Hammerbeck and Richard Hommel.

Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition Uwe Gemballa and his team are probably the world’s best Porsche Carrera GT Tuners. There have been a number of tuned and pimped versions from them in the last few years (you wonder when they’re going to run out of donor cars  – there were only 1270 ever made), but this one looks particularly good. Based on a standard donor Porsche Carrera GT, the Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition gets a power increase of around 50bhp, taking it to 670bhp (not as mad as some of the Gemballa Carrera GTs have been) and 470lb/ft of torque.

Chrysler recalls some vans, cars and SUVs for airbag problem

Chrysler announced two recalls last week, both for the potential of improper airbag deployment. On certain model year 2013 Chrysler Town & Country minivans, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesmen models, a software error could result in the wrong airbag deploying in the event of a crash. For example, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbags to deploy.
