An NOS GM #3866183 four speed shifter seal as used for Corvette models in 1964 through 1967 production. This is a nice older 1970's issued example which is thick and well formed. It has inspector's marks on the ashtray side. It is in very good soft and pliable condition and is unused. A nice find for the owner seeking full GM originality. Ask any questions before bidding. TWO FERRARI Dino cars have sold for a combined £383,000 during the same auction, despite one of them needing significant restoration. The model has in recent years become a golden goose for any owners lucky enough to have acquired one years ago, and the latest Silverstone Auctions sale shows what a cash cow even poor condition examples have become. A recently-restored 1971 Dino topped £250,000 inclusive of its buyer's premium, while the rusting form of a 1973 version still brought about a £132,500 sale.

It was patented by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959, but the Swedes magnanimously opened up the tech to other car makers as they saw the real-world safety benefit of seatbelts in all cars. The design was so effective that in Germany the patent registrars listed it in the top eight inventions which have made an impact from 1885 to 1985.

The redesigned 2012 Volkswagen Beetle is arriving at dealerships, and some of the first people to get one have waited nearly a year. Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey revealed the Beetle's design silhouette on her "Ultimate Favorite Things" giveaway show in 2010 and told audience members that they would be among the first owners. On Thursday, 276 people got their cars.
