GM Holley Carb HEAT SHIELD

1968-70 Chevelle, Corvette, Camaro, Nova

With Holley Carburetor

NOT A REPOP LIKE JEGS & SUMMITT and others. They did a lousy job on trying to replicate the original stamping numbers. This is NOS.

This was used on 396, 427 and 454 Big Block Chevelles, Camaros and monster 427 ZL-1 & L-88 Corvettes and maybe others that had the big Holley Carburetors. A Chevelle owner told me most people don’t know that General Motors installed them as a way to keep the fuel cooler, more dense thus helping to reduce vapor locks in high heat situations. See the GM 1970 Chevelle assembly manual pic sent to me showing its application. Has the part number #3969835 AND the firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, plus the word FRONT-TOP and a “W” all stamped.

This is an NOS part and has been in my possession for over 30 years. I'm slowly getting rid of items that I'll no long use. I've included a couple pics of my containers and boxes of items I've recently sold or sooner then later will dispose of.

Nov 13, 2004 - Final year undergraduate students from Britain's University of Huddersfield displayed their work at their annual degree show exhibition in Huddersfield, and also at the New Designers exhibition held in July at the Business Design Centre in London. With 19 graduating students from the BA(Hons) Transport Design course, the range of design projects reflects the broad nature of the discipline; with projects ranging from automotive exteriors and interiors, motorcycles, bridges and urban transportation interfaces. All final year projects have a strong design research element where a student's detailed knowledge and understanding of future market, social and environmental trends validates the project and the core design concept.
