 This listing is for a new old stock vintage shift knob by Cal Custom, one of the most famous manufactures of automotive accessories from the muscle car era. This item is great as both a usable part or as a decorative collector's piece. It is new in sealed original retail packaging with the famous rainbow design that Cal Custom used. The knob is chrome finished and is heavy solid metal. It fastens to the shifter with a set screw (included) and works with both 1/2" and 3/8" diameter shifters (adapter included for the 3/8" size). Lewis Hamilton continued to act like a child who doesn’t get his own way; it was apparently his team’s fault for putting the wrong tyres on his car that he ended up in 10th place on the grid.

Banks and Dallenbach ready for Pikes Peak with 1,400 hp

Not content to rest on his laurels after developing new diesel engines for military applications, Gale Banks and his company Banks Power will run a 1,400-hp, 1,301 lb-ft methanol-fueled vehicle up the now completely paved course at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, which is scheduled to take place Aug. 8-12. Banks teamed up with Paul Dallenbach and Leonard Arnold of Dallenbach Racing for the occasion.
