Autoweek looks at Ford Mustangs that never were
Tue, 03 Dec 2013When a car has been around for nearly 50 years, like the Ford Mustang, it is bound to go through many generational styling changes. In most cases, it will also be the subject of several design studies and concepts that never make it to the auto show stage. With the 2015 Ford Mustang just days away, we though it would be a good time to look back on some of those concepts that most of the world never got to see.
Lincoln MKX concept revealed ahead of Beijing auto show
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Lincoln has pulled the covers off its new MKX crossover concept, which is set for a global debut at the upcoming Beijing auto show. Following on the heels of the MKZ sedan and the 2015 MKC crossover, the redesigned MKX will be the third of four vehicles Lincoln says it will introduce by 2016 (the restyled Navigator doesn't count, apparently). Larger than the compact MKC, the MKX concept wears many of its smaller sibling's styling cues -- from the new split Lincoln grille to the lightly sculpted beltline to the upturned full-width taillights.
Nissan Qazana unveiled at Geneva motor show 2009
Tue, 03 Mar 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 03 March 2009 12:39 This funky little concept car is Nissan’s new Qazana, a preview of an all-new sub-Qashqai crossover that’ll be built at the company’s Sunderland plant in 2010. All of the concept’s real, from its suicide rear doors through to its 20-inch wheels, but don’t expect much of this to translate onto the production car. The fancy doors and big rims will disappear, but the real thing will still have the muscular yet curvaceous lines of the Qazana concept.
