HAYDEN, HEAVY DUTY OIL COOLERS, ( DIESEL), (OC-1292) DIESEL ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS NEED LARGE COOLERS HEAVY DUTY OIL COOLER, (HAYDEN) (OC-1292) These coolers are designed for rugged heavy duty applications. They can be used for many different cooling applications. These include, transmissions fluids, engine oil, gear boxes, hydraulic oils and diesel fuel applications. The Hayden Heavy Duty Coolers feature brazed copper tubes with aluminum fin construction. Turbulators in every tube provide 3 1/2 times more cooling surface than bare tubes.
1. HEAVY DUTY ADD-ON coolers are used in-series with the OEM cooler 2. HEAVY DUTY REPLACEMENT coolers are used for total transmission when water radiator is overloaded as in the case of heavy converter operation (long uphill pulls) 3. HT SERIES TRANSMISSIONS require the use of a temperature control valve. Contact Hayden factory for assistance. 4. Retarder applications should be referred to the factory for assistance. 5. RUBBISH TRUCK consider using off-highway selections. 6. If space available, use off-highway selection for slow-moving on highway. NOTE, with any cooler application, know your required flow (gpm) of your transmission, engine or any other application to get the correct cooler. If you install a cooler with no enough flow, you will burn up the equipment that you are trying to cool off. Former General Motors CEO Robert Stempel dies
Mon, 09 May 2011Former General Motors CEO Robert Stempel, who led the automaker during a turbulent period of recession and restructuring in the early 1990s, has died at the age of 77. "Bob was a very popular chairman with employees, and his many accomplishments as a visionary engineer included leading the development of the catalytic converter, one of the great environmental advancements in auto history," GM said in a statement. "His knowledge of battery development led to the push for the EV1 electric car, and Bob continued to build his expertise in the electrification of the automobile after he left GM in 1992." Stempel died Saturday in Florida, the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press reported Monday night.
Whiplash claim legal costs rising
Mon, 04 Nov 2013GOVERNMENT attempts to reduce legal costs from whiplash injury claims seem to be failing. The average legal costs for small, whiplash-like third party injury (TPI) claims now stand at £2,500 per claimant, according to a report by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. The institute said this was a 15% increase since 2010 "when the Ministry of Justice introduced new measures which sought, in part, to contain legal costs".
