Simraceway, McLaren team up for free multiplayer video game
Thu, 03 Nov 2011The online multiplayer racing game Simraceway has partnered with the McLaren Group to bring virtual models of every McLaren made to gamers, developer Ignite Game Technologies said on Tuesday. Simraceway will be a free-to-play online racing game that uses simulation-grade driving physics to provide a highly accurate driving simulator. The game will match racers by skill level to provide the best competition.
Rolls-Royce hits new sales record
Tue, 08 Jul 2014ROLLS-ROYCE has strolled luxuriously to a record half-year new car sales total - although actual volumes have not been released yet. Sales worldwide have risen by 33% compared with the January to June 2013 period, with sales in Europe up by more than 60%. There was also strong growth in Asia Pacific (up nearly 40%) and in the Middle East (up by more than 30%).

Thu, 25 Sep 2014Wired has just published a series of short articles entitled 13 Lessons for Design's New Golden Age. While there are some interesting examples cited in the piece, the concluding article, ‘Why Getting It Wrong Is the Future of Design' by the former creative director of Wired magazine, Scott Dadich, feels like it has particular resonance for car design. Dadich's Wrong Theory uses disruptive examples from the world of art, plus his own experience of working at Wired, to explain how design goes through phases: establishing a direction, creating a set of rules that define that direction and finally someone who dares to break from that direction.
