This is an Original Rebuilt M-88 Linkert Carb that I purchased as a spare for my personal 1945 Harley WL that I once owned.
It is time to clean some of this stuff out for winter. It looks great and includes a rare fuel filter.
It was rebuilt by a local shop specializing in "45"s, and has been stored, dry on a shelf in my shop since.
Everything is tight and appears in great condition. It does include an adjustable high speed needle, but I think I can replace it with a fixed high speed needle and screw cover if you are trying to stay proper on a WLA. Please ask me so I can check. Personally I prefer the adjustable needle on either.
The fuel filter comes apart easily, the screen looks great, and there is a new cork gasket. The bottom of the filter that you unscrew for access to the filter is worn a bit and might have been chewed on (slightly) by a wrench at some point in its life, but it looks good (not new) and works fine.
The bowl has a scar or two. It is an original item, but it looks great and shows nicely.
