Stove can be used free-standing or surface mounted, and are suitable for cooking in a seaway with optional potholders. Stainless steel canisters, with wicking, non-flammable material, hold enough denatured alcohol to burn 4–7 hours before refilling. Boiling time for one liter (34oz.) of water is just 10 minutes.
