Description

This connector kit allows for quick and convenient connect/disconnect of power from a winch or from another electrical device such as a remote battery charger, trailer, etc. The bottom of the device features a fitted rubber boot to protect against dust, moisture and corrosion.

It's very easy to use and install. Insert the wires into the terminal pins, then solder or crimp them. Connector ends are identical, so either end is suitable for connection to the power or load side.

Although all the components of this connector can withstand high voltages, this connector is designed for low-voltage (12-36 volts DC), direct-current use (high-voltage connectors usually have a socket and plug arrangement, so the socket, or power end, can be fully enclosed). The terminal pins accept wire of 8 gauge.

The Kia Naimo EV gets revealed in Seoul This week sees the start of the Seoul Motor Show. Which may not be at the top of our list of must-see shows, but with Kia and Hyundai taking over the world we do need to at least sit up and take notice. Today is press day at Seoul and Kia has rocked up with a funky electric CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) – the Kia Naimo – powered by a pair of 27kWh lithium-ion polymer batteries in the boot which power an electric motor that’s good for 108bhp and 207lb/ft of torque.

Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India Land Rover has been busy for the last 53 days taking a trio of Range Rover Hybrids down the Silk Trail from Land Rover’s home in the Midlands to Tata’s home in India. In the process, the three Range Rover Hybrids, and their Land Rover support vehicles, have covered 10,472 miles in 53 days covering every terrain imaginable – and averaged 36mpg in the process. The whole point of the outing was to give the hybrid Range Rover a proper workout ahead of its customer launch, and the trek to India certainly provided that with everything from sea level to 5500 metres and temperatures from -10 to 43C along the way, not to mention the vast array of terrain from tarmac to non-existent byways.
