The C2R-GM24 GM  is a plug-n-play Chime and Data-bus Integration Interface compatible with select late model (2000-06) GM Vehicles with Class-II radios without OnStar® OR Premium BOSE Sound Systems and allows the replacement of GM Class-II factory radios.

This interface enables the installation of an aftermarket radio in the vehicles listed above. With this interface you can replace the factory radio with an aftermarket radio without losing any of the features provided by the factory system. Chimes will be produced by the buzzer within the  C2R-GM24 GM.



Benefits of the  C2R-GM24 GM Radio Replacement Interface for select 2000-07 GM CLASS-II

  • Enables aftermarket radio installation without retention of the factory radio
  • Decodes chime signal commands on the Class-II data bus and supplies the appropriate warning tone from it's built-in speaker such as; door ajar, seat belt, low oil pressure, hi-temp, low fuel, etc.
  • Safe & Sound Class II circuitry will not disable vehicle data bus even if interface loses power
  • Provides "healthy Status" report on the Class-II system
  • Provides +12v switched accessory output. No more searching for switched +12v in fuse box or kick panel
  • Uses genuine Delphi chip for seamless integration
  • New radio will operate with the vehicle RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system. The radio stays on after the key is turned off and stays on for approximately 10 minutes or until a door is opened.
  • The  C2R-GM24 GM  also has four RCA cables. If the system has a Bose amplifier, connect the RCAs to the low-level outputs of the aftermarket radio. If it does not, cut off the RCA heads, strip the wire leads and connect them to the high-level outputs of the aftermarket radio.


NOTE: This is for a Non-Bose Application. There are no RCA type jacks on the connecting wires of this  C2R-GM24 GM . Connectors are for Standard speaker outputs.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander debuts at Geneva 2012 The new version of the Mitsubishi Outlander, previewed as the PX-MiEV II Concept, has been revealed ahead of its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Mitsubishi lay claim to their Outlander being the first ’Crossover’ to the market 11 years ago, or at least the Outlander was the first car to be called a crossover. And now we have a new version of the original crossover, with the debut next month at Geneva of the new Mitsubishi Outlander.

The winners at the fourth annual EyesOn Design Awards held at the 2009 NAIAS in Detroit last week read like a serving of alphabet soup, with the top awards going to Audi, BMW and Cadillac. Presided over by 20 top design executives from automotive manufacturers and by academics from transportation design programs, the EyesOn Design awards are presented by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO) - an internationally recognized non-profit organization known for helping the blind and visually impaired. Founding Chairman Tom Gale (former Vice President of Design at Chrysler) selected the following people to head up this year's jury: Chris Bangle, Director of Group Design for BMW; William 'Willie' G.

Now we have a bit of a surprise from the boys at Benz, with the leak of a photo of the Mercedes F125 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Concept. Possibly pointing the way to the next generation S-Class – or maybe the one after, or the one after that, or… – the big gullwing coupé comes with a proper set of green credentials and, for a real change, green credentials with a future.
