Condition:Pre-owned

These are leftovers from a larger lot of parts bought on EBay. Since I have no convertible they are up for grabs. They consist of two (used?) pieces of rubber, brownish in appearance and are ~36" long. I guess they are for the top bows? They are very flexible without cracks and the brownish color may be from the manufacture instead of age. 4 black bow drill tape 5" wide two are unopened and two have been used (several feet left)- from Steele. 1 weather-strip front bow- unopened from Steele. Unopened bag with 2 wire cloth covered weltings? They are brownish in appearance and are maybe used as  bendable crimpable wind lacing material? And a bag of  strips of a beige material (canvas?) that appear used to me but maybe someone with a convertible may be able to use for padding or sewing and thus strengthening an end or hold down.

Volkswagen to buy Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Italdesign?

Thu, 20 May 2010

The Morris Ital - one of Morris Ital by Giorgetto Giugiaro's greatest (sort of) It’s probably a fair bet – or at least was and has been for some time – that Volkswagen would be in the frame to buy an motoring asset that comes on the market. Especially if that asset is in trouble and an iconic name can be grabbed for a song – or less. Which explains why the names of VW and Giugiaro’s Italdesign are being linked together as the Italian designer appears to seek a car maker to rescue it from the woes of being an independent in these rather troubled times.
