Cargo bars are made of heavy duty steel coated with a black and gray textured paint finish. Rubber caps on either end prevent bar from snagging on cargo. Cargo bar bases are equipped with non-mar rubber feet to eliminate paint damage. Fits nearly every 4 door vehicle including cars, quad cab pick-up trucks, vans, and SUVs. Not recommended for 2 door vehicles because the bars can't be spac ed far enough apart. A telescoping version is also available. *Please note: These cargo bars attach to the vehicle through the door weather-seal; It is not recommended to use these cargo bars in heavy downpours of rain as water may leak in through this point. Mercedes-Benz courts Renault for new Smart model based on Twingo
Mon, 03 Aug 2009Mercedes-Benz is set to join forces with Renault in a deal aimed at providing its underdeveloped Smart division with a contemporary-engineered front-engine/front-wheel-drive platform as the basis for a frugal new Forfour model. The new Smart, due out in 2013, is planned to sit on a lightly modified version of the Renault Twingo’s underpinnings, complete with a 93.3-inch wheelbase. Speaking about the new car over the weekend, a highly placed Mercedes-Benz official told AutoWeek: “It’s a key component in plans to grow the Smart brand.
Valuable 1932 Ford stolen before Goodguys car show, recovered the next day
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Authorities have recovered a valuable Ford Deuce coupe stolen before the Goodguys car show last weekend in Indianapolis. The 1932 Ford, estimated to be worth $300,000, was taken on Friday from a car hauler in a hotel parking lot, the Indiana State Police said. The car was found in the driveway of a vacant house on the city's southwest side after being spotted by a citizen who tipped off police.
