Racing Caliper Brake Pads

Won more races than any other pad in the world. PFC's #1 goal is to give you the braking performance you need at 55 MPH, 95 MPH and over 200 MPH.

80 Compound: A favorite for the short track dirt and asphalt racers. It is the lowest torque race compound in PFC's arsenal. It is also used as a rear pad to reduce lock up.

83 Compound: Extremely high level of bite that is capable of withstanding the most arduous of conditions. Very popular for NASCAR, GTs and touring cars where a high level of bite and ability to withstand extreme conditions without fade are important requirements.

90 Compound: Designed for heavy Road Race cars, medium torque, long wear

93 Compound: A perennial favorite among top-level professional drivers. 93 has very high torque and progressive torque curve with a slight rise in friction within the braking event. It has very good wear characteristics and is less aggressive on the discs than 83 compound.

97 Compound: Endurance compound, higher bite than 90 with the lowest wear of all compounds, easy on discs. Good general use pad.

01 Compound: Increased initial bite and improved modulation. The friction level has been increased for the first two-thirds of the braking event, with flatter torque curve and more linear friction curve compared to 93. 01 is extremely easy on the discs with very low wear.

03 Compound: Higher bite & higher average torque than 01, excellent release, improved modulation. Wear on par with 83 compound.

05 Compound: Higher initial bite and higher average torque than any other PFC compound. 05 has virtually no torque rise with temperature, and the release and modulation characteristics are second to none. Despite it's considerable performance, 05 has wear comparable to 03.

A look at Mercedes-Benz future products

Fri, 10 Aug 2012

Are Americans ready to pay hefty prices for small, front-wheel-drive cars with features usually reserved for large German luxury cars? Mercedes-Benz is about to find out. Starting in the fall of next year, Mercedes will bring three, possibly four new compacts based on a new fwd platform to the United States.
