Ford Evos Concept joins Salon Privé lineup

The 2011 Ford Evos Concept has become the latest model to join this year's Salon Privé. Held from 4-6 September, the Evos will feaure in the Concepts and Prototypes Display at the West London event, due to be held on the lawns of Syon House. When it was unveiled, the Evos Concept showcased Ford's global design language and vision for customer-focused intuitive technologies.

IFR Aspid strikes Spanish gold

Now the Spanish manufacturer is seeking to create an international dealer network.The Aspid has been in secret development for five years, with IFR working hard on making it relevant to the needs to the 21st century. Although there are no definite CO2 figures, a kerbweight of 700kg means the Aspid should be capable 56.4mpg, they say. The chassis and suspension are aluminium, while the bodywork is carbonfibre and the brakes are made from stainless steel. Daihatsu hits Indonesian show with eight new concept cars

Daihatsu has launched a product offensive on the Indonesian International Motor Show in Jakarta, with eight concept cars all based around the theme ‘Compact ECO Mobility Best Friend'. As their endearingly Jenglish theme suggests, each of the cars is as compact as possible – Daihatsu is best known for producing Kei cars for its domestic Japanese market. (Incidentally the company's Tanto remains the most adorable of the Kei breed.)
