Piper are THE specialists in protytype and small batch high performance camshaft design and manufacture.

Piper Cams have been designing and manufacutring performance camshafts and exhausts since the late 1960's. Continuous investment in state-of-the-art machinery has kept us at the forefront of profile design. For some years now we have utilised CNC came grinding equipment to complement our CNC workshop faciliities, all of which allow us to hold the very closest tolerances.

Due to continuous expansion in early 2007, we relocated to our new 25,000 sq/ft factory in Folkestone. Further investment in an air conditioned inspection department means that we can now offer the very best camshaft/valve train analysis/design facility in the UK.

Our CNC Landis machines will grind not only cams for use in Le Mans, WRC, Touring Cars, NASCAR, Indy Car, British and European Rallycross and Hot Rod, but also most of our fast road profiles as well. The same in-house design facilities and CNC machines are used to produce our huge range of performance road cams to the same exacting standards and with the same amount of success. This means the superior quality of our cams will be available to everybody whether you drive a NASCAR or a Nova!

Motor vehicle manufacturers are continually producing new engines, making them lighter and more efficient. Our continuous research and development programme keeps us at the forefront of engine development. We achieve phenomenal results by using modern design methods, developed in a competitive environment, to produce cams that not only offer the best performance but the best longevity as well.

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

The 2014 New York auto show is all wrapped up -- at least for the press. We saw some big debuts from Dodge, Subaru, Mercedes and others. Ford and Mazda celebrated big anniversaries with two of their legendary names, and SRT threw out one more Viper to see if it finally sticks.

Show Preview: Frankfurt motor show 2011

Tue, 23 Aug 2011

The biannual Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, or the Frankfurt motor show, is again due to take place this September, swapping places with its sister show in Paris. One of the world's largest motor shows – certainly physically – the IAA is held at Frankfurt's Messe complex, and in recent years has been themed, with the last event in 2009 carrying the theme of ‘electrification', with virtually every manufacturer revealing a vehicle using the latest battery technology. Fittingly, the most notable unveil at that show was the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept, which was easily the most innovative and original car of 2009.

Audi Sport quattro laserlight concept heading for 2014 CES

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Audi Sport quattro laserlight concept heading for 2014 CES The Consumer Electric Show (CES) in Las Vegas is rapidly turning in to a showcase for some of latest electronic gizmos on cars, and the 2014 Show will see a new version of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept complete with Laser Lights. The Sport Quattro comes with a pair of low-profile trapezoidal elements, with the outer one generating the more familiar matrix LEDs for low beam whilst the inner one laser light for high beam, which offers three times the luminosity of LED high beam and can light up the road for 500 metres ahead. Apart from the clever laser headlights, the Sport Quattro Concept seems to be the same as the one Audi revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, apart from a new paint job in Plasma Red and the laser lights.
