This is a Piston Ring set for a Jaguar 4.2 both high and low compression. AE Piston Number 18395, 19885, 21379 and 21380 These ring sets contain compression rings which are manufactured to precision specifications from high grade castings. The rings are beveled on the inside top, which gives a torsional twist characteristic or relieved on the lower ridge for oil scraping characteristics. This second ring type is generally used in the second groove. Oil rings are of either circumferential design or Grants patented channel oil ring, both of which provide quick seating, positive oil control and long life. All Grant rings are parkerized to protect the ring, improve lubrication and to initiate a quicker seal. This product is new, still sealed in original packaging and instructions included. At a starting price of £30,680 – £25,680 after the taxpayer bribe for EV buyers – it’s no more expensive than other electric cars and does come with some clever technology – and the BMW badge – that will help it move out of showrooms. But as we reported as far back as 2011, the BMW i3 is to get a range-extender option – a small petrol engine that kicks in to recharge the batteries when they get low – which will make the i3 a much more practical proposition.
