One Lap of the Web: Cumberbatch on Hamilton and Blue Ovals that never were
Thu, 29 May 2014-- The Internet's greatest man-crush of the moment, next to boyish rogue Tom Hiddleston, is the aristocratically named and occasionally cross-dressing Benedict Cumberbatch. But the "Sherlock" star (not "Doctor Who," as the un-nerdy announcers mistakenly trumpet) has a dark secret: he's actually a Formula One fan who interviewed Lewis Hamilton at the podium at Malaysia. Infiniti's 2013 luxury EV: the teaser sketch
Mon, 27 Sep 2010Infiniti has released a teaser sketch of its upcoming electric vehicle. Revealed at the opening of Infiniti’s second UK dealership, at Piccadilly in London, the single image previews a ‘luxury’ EV that Infiniti promises will be launched in 2013. Underneath it’s essentially a Nissan Leaf, but as you can see from the sketch it won’t look like a re-nosed Nissan.
Concept Car of the Week: Mazda Ibuki (2003)
Fri, 21 Feb 2014With the Ibuki, Mazda designers synthesized the most successful of the first generation MX-5's iconic elements and evolved their forms to make them even more memorable and simple. To do so, they used a strong geometric theme throughout the car inside and out: LED headlamps; front air intake; tail lamps; rear view mirrors; release handles and interior details down to the pedals – every shape follow the same oval theme. Zooming out, the silhouette – as well as the top view – is also oval, making the Ibuki look more like a toy than a car, which is a real bonus for a small roadster.
