They're completely waterproof, featuring a rustproof grill that's removable for cleaning. These 3-way speakers provide the full spectrum of sound, thanks a 3.5" aluminum injection cone woofer with a 24 oz. magnet for the low end, a 1.75" wide dispersion cone for the midrange, and a 1" super dome tweeter for the highs. The built in capacitor crossover network does all the hard work - you just plug them in using the quick connect terminals and hit ‘play'. Bass reflex vent provides even more low end for your buck. It's not as sexy or as memorable as the perpetually out-of-reach commuter-grade Harrier jet, but it uses proven technology (GM's EV-1 uses inductive charging, as do electric toothbrushes) to save or eliminate fuel and to reduce emissions. And unlike the flying car, induction-charged buses are hardly fantasy: They've been used in European cities for over a decade, South Korea started testing a fleet last year and Utah got in on the act recently.

So, with figures like that and a huge captive audience, it’s no wonder car makers like to strut their latest products in front of the Super Bowl audience with the hope of a big return in sales. Umpteen car makers ran TV adverts in the 2013 Super Bowl, but it looks like Hyundai has come out very much on top, with Edmunds reporting a traffic increase of 738% in traffic for the new Hyundai Santa Fe after Hyundai ran its adverts and the US Autotrader site a massive 1000% increase.
