New Maserati Ghibli Leaks UPDATED: Now Official

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

The new Maserati Ghibli – the new, smaller version of the Quattroporte – has leaked ahead of a reveal later this week and a debut at the Shanghai Motor Show. Update: Maserati has now officially revealed the Ghibli with the same three photos we published. Apart from the information below, the only other confirmation is that the new Maserati Ghibli will also be offered with the first diesel engine in a Maserati, allowing it to compete with cars like the Audi A6 and the Jaguar XF 3.0 litre Diesel S.

Audi A6 allroad 3.0 TDI is the five millionth Audi with quattro 4WD

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

The first Audi qauttro hit the headlines in 1980 and now – 33 years later – Audi has produced its five millionth car with AWD – an A6 Allroad. (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});It’s thirty years since Audi became the first mainstream car maker to offer a four wheel drive road car when the Audi quattro hit the road, offering a (certainly for then) fulsome 200PS with the added reassurance of four wheel drive for added grip. True, others had flirted with 4WD road cars before Audi made it mainstream, such as Jensen with the FF in the 1960s, but Audi’s bold move was a real first for a mainstream maker, even if the Audi quattro was not exactly an entry-level model.

The Britalian Job: MINI remakes the Italian Job for London 2012

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

MINI has done a remake of the Italian Job – dubbed the ‘Britalian Job – to celebrate the London 2012 Olympics. (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});MINI always turns up interesting promo videos (not always good, but always interesting) so with BMW sponsoring the London 2012 Olympics it’s no surprise they’ve had their camcorders out. The result is something MINI are calling the ‘Britalian Job’, an homage to the classic 1960s Italian Job with the original Mini and starring Michael Caine and Noel Coward (and Benny Hill), although in truth it’s more like an homage to the later version with Charlize Theron.
